All top swatches are applied on top of Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero (on a damp brush).
All botton swatches are the pigments on their own (dry brush).

MAC A Tartan Tale - Pigments - Swatches
When the Tartan Tale collection first came out there wasn't anything that intially caught my eye. However I ended up purchasing all three pigments.
The Family Crest - Blackened bronze with bronze pearl. This is GORGEOUS! Applied wet on top of a dark base really makes the bronze stand out.
Later - Black with transforming purple pearl. Again applied on top of a black base makes this colour POP! On it's own it doesn't do much at all.
Moonlight Night - Blackened teal with teal pearl. Another lovely colour. I think it may be my fave out of the three!
Urban Decay Naked Palette
I really love Urban Decay products and when I saw this I knew it would be mine!
It's perfect to create natural every day looks and is the palette I always grab to do my makeup for work. No matter what your skin tone or colour, you are able to do endless looks using combinations of the different shades.

MAC Russian Red - Review/Swatch
I've never been much of a 'red lipstick' person, but somehow the magic of MAC lured me in to buy one anyway. Funny how that happens.
I had searched some blogs to get swatches of the different red lipsticks available and after much consideration I decided to go for Russian Red.
It is described on MAC's website as an 'intense bluish-red'. As a Matte finish, it is extremely pigmented and applies very smoothly. I always live in fear that red lipsticks make your teeth look yellow, but the blue undertones in Russian Red help to keep the yellow away (also I think blue undertones are suited to those with fairer skin - or so i've read anyway)! Another plus point to this lipstick is that it seems to last quite a while on the lips so there's no need to reapply every 15 minutes.
I've read other Russian Red reviews that describe it as that 'classic red', which I totally understand! If you're going for that iconic 1950's look, Russian Red is the one for the job.

Models Own Sterling Silver - Review/Swatch
Another lovely Models Own polish - Sterling Silver.
It's a cool-toned shiny silver which applies smoothly to leave an even coverage. What's better than getting into the icey winter spirit with this on your finger nails!?
I put on two coats which lasted almost 3 days without chipping. Of course adding an extra third coat will make it longer lasting.

Models Own Champagne - Review/Swatch
Models Own Champagne nail polish oh how I love thee.
It is a gorgeous shimmery, beigey polish - perfect for the festive season. A lovely blend of gold and silver creates this striking colour. Shiny enough for those who want a sparkly polish without the glitter!
A few Models Own polishes I have tried before had been slightly streaky and 3 coats were needed to achieve a good finish, however Champagne seems to avoided the streaky formula. After two coats, this stayed put for three days before slight chipping began to appear.
Models Own are a company I find myself praising over and over again with their vast variety of polishes in different colours and finishes. And at £5 each (or 3 for £12 on their website) I can't argue with that! Available at Boots, River Island and ASOS or at www.modelsownit.com.

MAC Snob Lipstick - Review/Swatches
Snob lipstick is part of MAC's permanent lipstick collection.
MAC describes it as 'a ladylike mauve'.
It is a Satin finish, so is pretty pigmented when applied. It is certainly a bright pink, but the mauve undertones dull it down slightly which makes it appear less light and brassy.
When applying, I usually add a small amount at a time and build up more colour if needed. This way it can still be a wearable colour without washing out the rest of your face. It goes on really creamy, but for me (and from what i've heard from several others!) the formula can be quite drying. I make sure I exfoliate my lips first and add a small amount of lipbalm or lip primer to smooth out the surface of my lips.
Ladies with fair/medium skin tones may find Snob easier to pull off than those with darker skin tones. This said, it can easily be teamed up with a lipgloss on top to tone down it's lightness and make it more wearable for all.
I personally love Snob. It was one of the first lipsticks from MAC I purchased and still remains a fave! With my very fair skin, I find it much easier to wear when I have a bit of tan/bronzer on my face!
